Addis Ababa, February 12, 2021 (FBC) –Ethiopian Ambassador to Sweden Deriba Kuma briefed the Head of the Africa Department at the Swedish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Irina Schoulgin Nyoni and the Head of the Horn of Africa and West Africa Department at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Norway, Elisabeth Schwabe-Hansen.
The Ambassador briefed the two officials in a one-on-one virtual meeting on national and regional matters of urgent importance, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Ambassador Deriba further stressed the tireless efforts of the Government of Ethiopia to address the humanitarian need of our people in Tigray in which so far more than 1.8 million beneficiaries have been reached.
The Ambassador also underlined the need to find an amicable solution to the Ethio-Sudan border conflict and that Ethiopia stands ready for that once Sudan withdraws from sovereign territory of Ethiopia.
The two officials on their part emphasized the need to expand the humanitarian relief service in Tigray region and underscored readiness of their respective governments to support Ethiopia.
