Algerian President expresses commitment to solidify historical ties with Ethiopia.

Addis Ababa, October 9, 2024 (FBC) – Ambassador Muktar Mohamed Ware, the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ethiopia to the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria, presented his letters of credence to the president of the north African nation, Abdelmadjid Tebboune .

During the handing over Ceremony, Ambassador Muktar conveyed the warm greetings of Taye Atske-Selassie, the President of FDRE, and of Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed Ali, to President Tebboune.

President Tebboune, on his part, extended his congratulations to Taye Atske-Selassie on his recent appointment as the President of FDRE.

President Tebboune also expressed Algeria’s commitment to solidify its historical and wide-ranging relations with Ethiopia.

In return, Ambassador Muktar reaffirmed Ethiopia’s commitment to the strong bonds of friendship shared with Algeria, rooted in a longstanding cooperation and the ideals of Pan-Africanism, and African Unity.
