Addis Ababa, May 17, 2024 (FBC) – Algeria has expressed its desire to enhance its people-to-people and parliamentary diplomatic relations with Ethiopia.
The Standing Committee on Foreign Relations and Peace Affairs of the House of People’s Representatives of Ethiopia held discussions with the Algerian Ambassador to Ethiopia, Mohammed Lamine Laabas, regarding the establishment of a parliamentary diplomacy group between the two countries.
Ambassador Mohamed emphasized Algeria’s interest in strengthening the robust political and economic ties between the two countries, as well as collaborating in trade and investment.
It was highlighted that parliamentary diplomacy not only enriches relationships between nations but also fosters conflict resolution through dialogue.
Moreover, the ambassador conveyed Algeria’s satisfaction with the numerous accomplishments being made in Ethiopia.
