Addis Ababa, March 11, 2021 (FBC) –The Ministry of Agriculture (MoA) today signed an agreement with the National Airways for the procurement of aircraft service management.
The agreement would help build national capacity to combat desert locust invasion and conduct crop pest surveillance to reduce post-harvest loss.
According to the agreement, Ethiopia will buy 10 aircrafts through National Airways for spraying and five of the aircrafts will be delivered soon.
Ethiopia spent more than 4.8 billion birr over the past 20 months to combat locust invasion.
The agreement was signed here today by Minister of Agriculture, Oumer Hussien and officials from the National Airways.
