Agency presents touchless hand sanitizer technology to PM office

Addis Ababa, June 11, 2020 (FBC) – Information Network Security Agency (INSA) has handed over touchless sanitizing technology to Prime Minister Office today.

Director General of INSA, Dr. Shumete Gizaw has presented the touchless hand sanitizing technology to Prime Minister Dr. Abiy Ahmed.

Having tested the automatic technology, Prime Minister Dr. Abiy described the innovation as an encouraging move calling for further advancements so as to fight the coronavirus pandemic avoiding physical contacts.

Coordinator of the innovation unit in the agency, Biruhtesfa Mulugeta said activities are well underlay to increase access of such touchless technologies in the country as a part of an innovating response to the pandemic.

The technology that sprays both alcohol and sanitizers alarm people in 6 meters radius to use it before they depart to other places.

The agency has so far transferred other hand sanitizing technologies to ministry of Peace and Roads authority.
