Addis Ababa, July 19, 2022 (FBC) – African refugees sheltered in refugee camps located in Benshangul Gumuz Region have taken part in tree planting session in the region.
The Green Legacy Initiative led tree planting campaign has been started in Tsore, Bambasi and Sherkole camps in Benshangul Gumuz state involving participation of African refugees.
Refugees and Returnees Service announced that more than 200,000 trees will be planted in the camps. Currently, the three camps are accommodating a total of more than 74,000 refugees from Sudan, South Sudan, Democratic Congo, Rwanda and other African countries.
