Addis Ababa’s Adwa Zero Km Mega Project 75pct completed

Addis Ababa, March 1, 2022 (FBC) – The Addis Ababa City Administration announced that the Adwa Zero Km Mega Project which is being constructed in the vicinity of Emperor Menelik II has reached 75 percent of its stage towards completion. Structural works of the project have been finalized, he said.

The project which includes multipurpose units including the Adwa Memorial Museum, an amphitheater, libraries and youth centers is expected to be the biggest in its kind in the country.

Mega Projects Office Deputy Head at the City Administration, Engineer Miressa Likessa said the construction of the Adwa Center is held at 3.3 ha of land at the heart of the capital city.

According to the Head the 4.6 billion birr mega project is equipped with a state-of-the-art parking that will have a capacity of accommodating more than 1,000 cars at a time.

As a memorial center of the African Victory, Adwa the center is expected to serve as a platform for reinvigoration of the spirit of Pan-Africanism
