Addis Ababa, October 9, 2024 (FBC) – Ethiopia is poised to host the first inaugural Green Transport Week, dubbed as “Ethio Green Mobility 2024,” next month, the country’s Minister of Transport & Logistics, Alemu Sime confirmed today.
In a note published on his social media page, the minister noted that this landmark event will feature an international exhibition and symposium, showcasing the nation’s commitment to sustainable transportation and its efforts to build a climate-resilient economy.
He asserted that the Ministry of Transport & Logistics (MoTL) is at the forefront of driving this national agenda.
“Through strategic initiatives such as expanding the use of renewable energy vehicles and fostering sector growth, we are working diligently to reduce vehicle emissions and contribute to Ethiopia’s broader sustainability goals,” Alemu added.
