Addis Ababa, February 21, 2023 (FBC) – Addis Ababa is set to host the first-ever continental inter-religious conference next week, according to Inter-Religious Council of Ethiopia.
In its latest media briefing, Inter-Religious Council of Ethiopia confirmed that the continental inter-religious conference will be held in Addis Ababa in succession to the 36th Ordinary Session of Heads of State and Government of the African Union.
Secretary of the Inter-Religious Council of Ethiopia, (Chief Priest) Tagay Tadele, said the conference will be held on February 28, 2023 at the African Union Conference Hall.
This conference, which will be held in collaboration with various international organizations, aims at strengthening religious cooperation and the solidarity of the faithful.
The conference further aims at developing the custom of dialogue in the continent and to advocate and reflect stances for the AU to become a member of the G20.
