Addis Ababa based diplomatic community briefed on current situation

Addis Ababa, November 23, 2021 (FBC) – Addis Ababa City Administration has briefed members of the diplomatic community residing in the capital on current Situation in the country.

Head of the Addis Ababa City Peace and Security Administration Bureau, Kenea Yadeta (PhD) told the diplomats that the city is working hand in hand with the Federal Police, the Republican Guard, Oromia Region Police and other security forces to maintain peace and stability in the capital.

The city has deployed more than 27,000 youths tasked to safeguard peace and stability of the capital, the Head said, adding that Addis Ababa is free of any security threat.

Saying that the Western media are spreading false news filled with scary stories that totally contradict with the reality on the ground, Kenea called on members of the diplomatic community not to be misled by such a bundle of disinformation.

The City Administration will organize similar platforms that will help exchange information on latest developments with the diplomatic community residing in Addis Ababa, it is indicated on the occasion.
