Addis Ababa, October 16, 2021(FBC) – Addis Ababa City Administration announced that it has started taking legal measures against individuals and institutions involved in land grabbing and related misconducts.
Manager of the City Administration in the rank of Deputy Mayor, Tiratu Beyene a study has been conducted to find out illegalities in the land management sector.
And, he explained that the study findings reveal that 497 tracts amount to 20. 7 ha of land were illegally appropriated in the capital.
He added that 383.32 ha of land meant to be incorporated in the land bank was illegally transferred to individuals and institutions.
Those involved in the land grabbing have been identified and are being taken to justice.,, the manager said.
