A High Level Saudi Business Delegation begins visit to Ethiopia today

Addis Ababa, June 4, 204 (FBC) – A High Level Saudi Arabian investment and trade delegation consisting of 79 investors and headed by the President of the Federation of Chamber of Commerce of Saudi Arabia is to visit Ethiopia as of today, Spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Nebiyu Tedla said.

The visit is aimed at further strengthening the economic ties between the two countries. The delegation will arrive in Addis Ababa tonight and is expected to visit strategically important manufacturing sites during its three-day stay in Ethiopia, according to the Spokesperson.
Ethiopia – Saudi Arabia Business Forum focusing on the favorable investment climate and trade opportunities available in Ethiopia will also be conducted. The relevant government stakeholders have finalized preparation to enable the delegation explore the opportunities in agriculture, mining, tourism, energy, transport, logistics and other key economic spheres.
A Memorandum of Understanding is also expected to be signed between the Ethiopian Chamber of Commerce and Sectoral Associations and its Saudi Arabian counterpart, the Spokesperson added.
