Addis Ababa, December 1, 2024 (FBC) – The Prosperity Party marked its 5th anniversary in Djibouti, gathering members and supporters around the theme “Ideological Excellence for Inclusive Prosperity.”
Ethiopian Ambassador to Djibouti, Berhanu Tsegaye, opened the event with a welcoming address. Tesfahun Gobezai, the party’s deputy head of public and international relations, reflected on the party’s founding, which emerged from the national reform addressing critical issues within the country. He emphasized the party’s consistent victories over the past five years despite numerous challenges.
During the forum, a presentation highlighted the party’s achievements, ongoing challenges, and aspirations for the future. Key developments over the past five years were outlined, including advancements in agriculture, the Green Legacy Initiative, Bounty of Basket Initiative, infrastructure projects, institutional reforms, expansion of tourist destinations and industries, construction, completion of the Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam (GERD), and various other initiatives.
Party officials reiterated the Prosperity Party’s commitment to peace, stating that extensive efforts are underway to foster multinational unity through public forums and discussions at all levels.
