Addis Ababa, January 9, 2024 (FBC) – Launching of freighter services to Casablanca, Morocco, opens a new chapter as it is Ethiopian Airlines’ maiden venture into the Maghreb region as part of its global freighter network, Ethiopian Airlines Group CEO, Mr. Mesfin Tasew said.
Ethiopian Cargo & Logistics Services confirmed that it has finalized preparations to launch freighter services to Casablanca, Morocco, marking its maiden venture into the Maghreb region as of today, 9th January 2024.
In that regard, Casablanca has become the Airline’s 35th freighter destination in Africa
Speaking on the launching of this new service, Group CEO Mr. Mesfin Tasew noted, “We are excited to announce the launch of the freighter services to Casablanca, Morocco. The new service opens a new chapter as it is our maiden venture into the Maghreb region as part of our global freighter network.”
He reminded that this addition increases the Airline’s total African freighter destinations to 35 and boosts its commitment to delivering reliable and efficient services.
As the largest cargo network operator in Africa and a key air cargo service provider globally, Ethiopian Airlines will continue expanding its services around the world by opening new routes to facilitate global trade and the flow of goods, the Group CEO asserted.
“Our freighter services to Casablanca is operated using the modern Boeing 777-200F cargo aircraft with payload capacity of more than 100 tons.”
