Addis Ababa, October 11, 2024 (FBC) – The 17th National Flag Day will be commemorated across Ethiopia on Monday, October 14, 2024, under the patronage of the House of People’s Representatives (HoPR).
The event will be observed at both the federal and regional levels, as well as in the two city administrations, under the overarching theme “Our Flag for Our National Unity, Sovereignty, and the Elevation of Ethiopia.”
The annual celebration of National Flag Day holds great importance for fostering national unity, sovereignty, and the ongoing development undeavors of Ethiopia, as indicated by the House of People’s Representatives.
It was mentioned that the event will serve as an occasion for everyone to demonstrate their genuine respect and love for the country and its flag, while reaffirming their commitment in its presence.
Federal government institutions, regional administrations, city administrations, national defense forces camps, and Ethiopian embassies and missions worldwide will celebrate the 17th National Flag Day simultaneously at 10:30 AM with various events, including a flag-raising ceremony.
