Ambassadors vow to encourage Australian, Italian mining companies to invest in Ethiopia

Addis Ababa, May 18, 2023 (FBC) – The Minister of Mines, Habtamu Tegegn has discussed with Ambassadors of Australia and Italy on how to enhance cooperation between Ethiopia and the respective countries in the mining sector.

The Minister of Mines, Engineer Habtamu met with the Australian Ambassador of Australia to Ethiopia Julia Niblett and the Italian Ambassador Agostino PALESE and held a discussion on ways of strengthening cooperation in the mining sector.

The minister assured the Ambassadors that the Government is committed to provide all necessary support to the mining companies of both countries interested to come to Ethiopia and invest in the mining sector.

The ambassadors, for their part, expressed their interest to work together with the Ministry to encourage the mining companies in their countries to come to Ethiopia and engage in the sector.
