Ambassador Sami confers with Head of UNOCT, Aynabat Atayeva

Addis Ababa, April 22, 2021 (FBC) – Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ethiopia to Qatar, Samia Zekaria received and held talks with Dr. Aynabat Atayeva, Head of UN Office of Counter Terrorism (UNOCT) Program Office in Doha.

The two exchanged views on possible partnership between Ethiopia and UNOCT and ways of countering extremism and terrorism.

According to Ethiopian Embassy in Doha, the ambassador and the UNOCT Head discussed ways how to advance the objectives of the new structure of the organization.

As the COVID-19 pandemic swept the world, UNOCT scaled up its efforts to help Member States achieve a world free from terrorism by adapting and innovating to meet this challenging moment.
