Ambassador Mulu meets with Center for International Relations president
Addis Ababa, April 29, 2021 (FBC) – Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ethiopia to the Federal Republic of Germany and Ambassador designate to the Republic of Poland has met virtually with Dr. Małgorzata Bonikowskat, President of Centre for International Relations in Poland.
Discussions focused on the 6th national election, negotiation on the Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam (GERD) , the Ethiopia- Sudan border dispute and the situation in Tigray region.
On the occasion Ambassador Mulu briefed the President on the background of the situation in Tigray and latest situation in the region.
Regarding the pandemic situation Ambassador Mulu noted that every care is being taken as much as the countries capacity is allowing and measures such as alerting citizens in every call they make by a short message about the danger of the pandemic and other measures are being taken to reduce infections.
The Ambassador noted that River Nile could not be a source of conflict rather is a source of peace and regional integration, cultural relation and development.
Ethiopia firmly believes the AU facilitated negotiation will bring result in addressing the issue, Ambassador Mulu underlined.
Ambassador Mulu also noted that Europe and countries like Germany and Poland are now seeing Ethiopia and Africa as a potential investment destination.
Dr. Bonikowska on her part noting the fact that she has been to Ethiopia with several official delegations and commended the information shared to the institution by the Embassy and stated that the institution is working on a publication on Ethiopia.
