Ambassador Mike Hammer to succeed Ambassador David Satterfield as U.S Special Envoy for HoF

Addis Ababa, June 1, 2022 (FBC) – Ambassador Mike Hammer will succeed Ambassador David Satterfield as Special Envoy for the Horn of Africa, U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken said in a statement on Wednesday.

“I am grateful to Ambassador Satterfield and look forward to working with Ambassador Hammer in continuation of our diplomatic efforts in the region.” Secretary Blinken noted.
