Amb Tizita Briefs Indian, Bangladeshi investors on current situation in Ethiopia

Addis Ababa, November 28, 2020 (FBC) – Ethiopian Ambassador to India Tizita Mulugeta briefed Indian and Bangladeshi investors engaged in Ethiopia on the ongoing government’s law enforcement operation in Tigray.
She said that government’s law enforcement came after the TPLF junta brutally attacked the Northern Command of the Ethiopian Defense Forces and put nation’s sovereignty at risk.
The Indian investors who received the briefing from Ambassador Tizita are engeaged in agriculture, horticulture, pharmaceuticals, and garment and textile industries while the Bangladeshi ones are participating mainly in garment and textile sectors in Ethiopia.
It is stated on the briefing session that the investment sector link between Ethiopia and Bangladesh is growing rapidly in recent times.
The Ethiopian Embassy in New Delhi has also briefed senior officials of governments of Sirilanka, Nepal and Bangladesh on the law enforcement measures underway in Tigray region.
Resident Ambassadors of IGAD member countries in New Delhi have also got explanation from the embassy about what is going on in Ethiopia in line with ensuring law and order in the country.
Ambassador Tizita has also been briefing Indian Media on the objectives of the law enforcement measure in Ethiopia stressing need to avoid disinformation from any party regarding the operation underway in the country, according to Ethiopian Embassy in New Delhi.
There are currently 584 Indian companies in Ethiopia which registered more than 4 Billion US Dollars.
