Amb. Teshome praises China for consistent, principled position on Ethiopia’s internal affairs

Addis Ababa, November 3, 2022 (FBC) – Ethiopian Ambassador to China, Teshome Toga, has called on China to strengthen its support for Ethiopia’s post-conflict rebuilding and rehabilitation.

Ambassador Teshome and Ambassador Jiang Jiang, Vice President of the Chinese People’s Friendship Association, discussed on issues of cooperation between the two countries.

Ambassador Teshome, during the discussion, stated that the Ethiopian government is making efforts to rebuild the infrastructures destroyed in the conflict and to rehabilitate the displaced people in the northern part of the country.

He expressed his belief that China’s continued cooperation will not be different for this the current cause.

Teshome said that the Ethiopian government will continue to provide humanitarian aid to those affected by the conflict in cooperation with humanitarian assistance organizations.

According to the Ethiopian Embassy in Beijing, the Ethiopian government is appreciative of China’s principled stance and strong support for the horn of African nation to resolve its internal affairs on its own.

Ambassador Jiang Jiang, for his part, reiterated that as Ethiopia is China’s strategic partner, his country will work together for common prosperity.
