Amb. Tefera Derbew discusses with DG of African Affairs at MFA China Mr. Wu Peng

Addis Ababa, January 3, 2023 (FBC) – Ethiopian Ambassador to China, Tefera Derbew, had a discussion on Tuesday with Mr. Wu Peng, Director General of African Affairs Department at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People’s Republic of China.

The discussion, according to the Ethiopian Embassy in Beijing, focused on the bilateral relations between the two friendly countries.

Both sides also referred to the official visit of Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed to China in October 2023, when PM Abiy and President Xi Jinping announced the elevation of the existing bilateral ties to an “All Weather Strategic Cooperation Partnership.”

Ambassador Tefera Derbew underscored that the year 2023 will be remembered for its historic advancements in the friendship between the two countries.
