Amb Million briefs Estonian officials on latest developments in Ethiopia
Addis Ababa, June 5, 2021 (FBC) – Ethiopian Ambassador Million Samuel met and held discussions with several Estonian officials during his stay in Tallinn, Estonia for the presentation of his credentials accrediting him as Ethiopia’s Ambassador to the Republic of Estonia.
In this connection, Ambassador Million met with Marko Mikhelson, Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Estonian parliament, Lembit Uibo, Political Director at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, lngrid Amer, Director of Middle East, Africa and Latin America in MFA, and Nele Leosk, Ambassador-at-large for Digital Affairs in MFA.
During the meetings Ambassador Million provided updates on current issues in Tigray region of Ethiopia, upcoming elections and ensuing national dialogue and Ethiopian government perspectives on regional issues including the negotiations on the Grand Ethiopia Renaissace Dam (GERD) GERD.
Estonian officials have expressed their desire to enhance bilateral relations and to work closely with Ethiopia in understanding regional issues in light of Estonia’s current position as a non-permanent member of the United Nation Security Council.
