Amb Deriba calls on Finland, others to join hands with Ethiopia in rebuilding Tigray

Addis Ababa, December 8, 2020 (FBC) – Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ethiopia to Sweden and other Nordic Countries, Ambassador Deriba Kuma, conferred with Kai Sauer, State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Finland.

The Ambassador briefed the State Secretary on the now concluded law enforcement operation in the Tigray region and other issues of mutual interest.

Ambassador Deriba underscored that the Federal government was forced to resort to the law enforcement operation as a result belligerent TPLF criminal group, which was unwilling to peacefully resolve differences.

He further noted that the law enforcement operation was successfully accomplished with maximum care been given for the civilian population, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

As the operation came to a conclusion, Ambassador Deriba called upon Finland and other partners to join hands with Ethiopia in rebuilding Tigray region.
