African Boxing Confederation inaugurates its HQ in Addis Ababa
Addis Ababa, August 17, 2024 (FBC) – The African Boxing Confederation (AFBC) has officially inaugurated and opened its headquarters at Unity Park in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, this morning.
The ceremony was attended by Ethiopia’s Minister of Culture and Sports, Ms. Shewit Shanka, the President of AFBC, Mr. Eyasu Wosen, and other officials, including members of the Confederation’s board.
In her speech at the inaugural event, the minister emphasized that the opening of the African Boxing Confederation’s (AFBC) headquarters in Ethiopia has substantial social, political, and economic advantages.
In addition to its contribution to the growth of boxing, she highlighted the significance of job creation resulting from the establishment of the HQ.
The opening of the AFBC headquarters in Ethiopia is expected to have a positive impact on the local community, fostering the development of boxing and providing employment opportunities for residents.
