Adwa Zero Km Project will be completed and put into operation in coming October, City says
Addis Ababa, February 27, 2023 (FBC) – Mega Projects Construction Office of the Addis Ababa City Administration stated that the construction of the Adwa Zero Km Project has reached 78 percent completion stage.
Contract Management Directorate Director at the Addis Ababa Mega Projects Construction Office, Engineer Dawit Tibebu disclosed that the project will be fully completed and put into operation in the coming October.
The project which includes multipurpose units including the Adwa Memorial Museum, an amphitheater, libraries and youth centers is expected to be the biggest in its kind in the country. The construction of the Adwa Center is underway at 3.3 ha of land at the heart of the capital city.
The 4.6 billion birr mega project is equipped with a state-of-the-art parking lot that will have a capacity of accommodating more than 1,000 cars at a time.
As a memorial center of the African Victory, Adwa the center is expected to serve as a platform for reinvigoration of the spirit of Pan-Africanism.
