Addis Weg Webinar discusses “innovation in times of crisis”

Addis Ababa, April 28, 2020 (FBC) – Prime Minister Office is currently holding Addis Weg webinar under the theme “Innovation in Times of Crisis” backed by virtual conference technologies.

Today’s event focused on seeking possible innovative solutions to demands and challenges posed by the global coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.

Peace Minister Muferihat Kamil, Innovation and Technology Minister Abrham Belay, Plan and Development Commission Commissioner Dr. Fitsum Assefa and high level advisors at the PM Office are in attendance of the discussion.

During the discussions, the Press Secretariat of the Prime Minister Office, Nigussu Tilahun said using innovative measures is very crucial during a time of crisis.

“Our forefathers applied innovative solutions when the nation faced a crisis like this” said Nigussu, adding “This virtual platform discusses how we should tackle this challenging time through proper use of innovative mechanisms.”

Other participants also stressed the need for innovative solutions to effectively tackle the bottlenecks posed by COVID 19 pandemic.
