Addis Ababa, UNICEF ink MoU to support Early childhood development program
Addis Ababa, January 16, 2024 (FBC) – Mayor of Addis Ababa City Administration Ms. Adanech Abiebie stated that her city administration has signed a memorandum of understanding with the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) to support the “Early Childhood Development Program” in the Ethiopian capital.
It also aims to implement projects for the holistic developments of children and adolescents in Addis Ababa and create a city that is well-suited to meet the needs and rights of every child.
In a social media post, Mayor Adanech asserted, “The executed memorandum of understanding with Aboubacar Kampo, the representative of the UNICEF Ethiopia country office, is poised to contribute significantly to our ongoing initiatives aimed at enhancing children’s healthcare services, alongside the establishments of kindergartens and child daycare centers that have been established.”
She pledged that her city administration will continue to work hard to make Addis Ababa the best African capital where children can be physically and mentally built.
