Addis Ababa to begin process of identifying participants for national consultation tomorrow
Addis Ababa, August 23, 2023 (FBC) – Ethiopian National Dialogue Commission today announced that the process of identifying representatives who will participate in the national dialogue in Addis Ababa will begin tomorrow.
In a media briefing this morning regarding the identifying process of representatives, the Deputy Commissioner of at ENDC, Hirut Gebre-Slassie, stated that the Ethiopian Civil Society Organizations Council, the Ethiopian Political Parties Joint Council, the Ethiopian Teachers’ Association, the Inter-Religious Council of Ethiopia, Consortium of Ethiopian Traditional Financial Saving Associations, and woreda administrations are lined up to assist in the participatory process.
Mentioning participants’ identifying process at the woreda community level will be held in two phases, she indicated that activities will be undertaken to provide training to the partners and monitor the effectiveness of the participants identifying and the coordination process.
The Deputy Commissioner pointed out that representatives from 119 woredas under the Addis Ababa City Administration will be selected to participate in the agenda garnering and the main national consultation process.
