Addis Ababa stages city-wide sports event
Addis Ababa, November 13, 2022 (FBC) – The Addis Ababa city administration organized a city-wide physical exercise event on Sunday morning.
The event was held under the theme “Addis Ababa, City of Diversity, Peace and Love”.
The head of the Prosperity Party’s Addis Ababa office, Melese Alemu, who participated at the sporting event, said that apart from maintaining personal health, sports contribute to peace. He emphasized that crucial to maintain health and continue to strengthen the peace and development of the capital city.
He also called on everyone to play their part in the effort to ensure the “YeLemat Trufat” initiative that was launched at a household level.
He recalled the announcement of the 2nd round of the 90-day special plan by the city administration. He said that the 90-day special plan will accelerate the country’s development in the efforts for prosperity beyond routine tasks.
He confirmed the official launch of this special plan today in the Arada sub-city administration.
Sunday’s sports event was organized by the Addis Ababa Youth and Sports Bureau in collaboration with Arada sub-city administration. It has been suggested that it will be strengthened in other sub-cities in the future, according to the Addis Ababa City Government Communication Service.
