Addis Ababa mayor confirms completion of the Bole road corridor dev’t project
Addis Ababa, August 1, 2024 (FBC) – Mayor of Addis Ababa city administration, Ms. Adanech Abiebie, has announced the completion of the Bole Road Corridor Development Project, which features modern infrastructures fitting for Ethiopia’s capital city’s status as one of the world’s diplomatic hub.
In a message posted on her social media page, Mayor Adanech revealed that her administration has constructed wide car, pedestrian, and bicycle paths, parking lots, taxi and bus loading and unloading areas, public parks, green spaces, fountains, public toilets, as well as painting and lighting work that adheres to the city’s plan in a very beautiful manner along the Bole highway.
She also extended her gratitude to stakeholders, community members, and personnel who have worked round of the clock for the successful completion of the project.
Additionally, Mayor Adanech issued a call for all residents of the city to take responsibility in looking after and preserving the newly renovated infrastructure in collaboration with security forces to ensure its longevity.
Note that Addis Ababa has previously completed the corridor development project along the Piasa–Arat Killo, Arat Killo–Kenya Embassy-Aware, and the Mexico–Sar Bet routes in the past few months.
The government has also launched this mega project which aims to modernize in other cities across Ethiopia.
