Addis Ababa Marks World Cleanup Day

Addis Ababa, September 18, 2021 (FBC) – The World Cleanup Day has been marked in Addis Ababa at all schools in the capital with a catch phrase dubbed, ‘Neat & Tidy Schools for Posterity’.

The event was noted to help motivate students in COVID 19 prevention and work for keeping premises and environments alike clean.

Education Minister Engineer Getahun Mekuria (PhD) and Urban Development and Construction Minister Engineer Ayisha Mohamed (PhD) have marked the day with students participating in the cleanup.

The World Cleanup Day is a civic action that aims help make our planet clean by instituting a well-structured waste management system in place in all countries.
