Addis Ababa launches smart traffic fine app

Addis Ababa, April 20, 2021 (FBC) – Addis Ababa Traffic Management Agency has today launched smart traffic fine app in a view to speed up service delivery.

The new technology is said crucial to address hassles related to poor service delivery and help drivers pay get rid of their traffic tickets from their phones in short period of time from wherever they are, Agency Director Engineer Jiregna Hirpa said.

He said the app facilitates speedy services and avoid hassles seen in the sector as number of vehicles are increasing and traffic congestion is rising from time to time.

According to the director, using the new app, drivers can pay traffic tickets via Cooperative Bank of Oromia or other financial institutions that are delivering E-Birr services, the agency indicated.
