Activities underway to beef up the TVET sector: MoLS

Addis Ababa, August 27, 2023 (FBC) – Minister of Labor and Skills Muferihat Kamil stated the government has given due attention to the field of Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET), describing the sector as a nexus between knowledge and skills.

The Federal Technical and Vocational Education and Training Institute has graduated around 3,600 trainees with various training fields with a ceremony attended by the Labor and Skills Minister, Muferihat Kamil and other high level officials.

In her remarks at the graduation ceremony, Muferiat said the government has been undertaking a range of activities to transform the TVET sector.

The TVET sector is contributing to the technology transfer and job creation endeavors, adding that strategic tools are being implemented to further boost the sector.
