Academy keen on partnership with Russia in training, research: Chief of Academy
Addis Ababa, February 9, 2023 (FBC) – The African Leadership Excellence Academy expressed keen interest to enhance its capacity by working with Russia in training and research, said Mihret Debebe, head of the Academy.
Mihret Debebe, Head of the African Leadership Excellence Academy, held a discussion with Russian Ambassador to Ethiopia, Evgeny Terekhin.
During the discussion, Mihret noted that since the academy was re-established by the FDRE Council of Ministers, it has been training the leaders of government and private organizations.
He stated that the academy is working on institutional reform to raise its current capacity to a higher level.
There are many national and continental programs that the academy plans to carry out when the institutional reform is completed, indicating the academy is working with various stakeholders to achieve this objective, said the Head of the Academy.
According to Mihret, the academy is also working to achieve its mission by establishing a strategic partnership with local and international partners. Hence, it is looking forward to boost its capacity by working in cooperation with Russia in training and research fronts.
The Academy’s social media post indicates that Ambassador Evgeny Terekhin also expressed Russia’s desire to work together with the Academy, adding that he has ideas that will be shared and developed in further future discussions.
