About 274 Ethiopians return home from Saudi Arabia
Addis Ababa, September 16, 2020 (FBC) – About 247 Ethiopians, who were in detention centers, have returned home from Saudi Arabia.
Upon arrival at Bole International Airport today, they were received by Mesfin Gebremariam, consular affairs director-general at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA).
The director-general last Monday said that a total of 1, 440 Ethiopians will be repatriated from Jeddah, Saudi Arabia from September 16 to October 6, 2020.
The repatriation process will take place in joint cooperation between MFA, the Saudi Government and the International Organization for Migration (IOM), he said.
