AAYF 2023 Forum underway in Addis Ababa
Addis Ababa, June 12, 2023 (FBC) – The 2nd Edition of the Africa-Asia Youth Forum (AAYF 2023) is underway in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia from the 12th – 13th of June 2023.
AAYF 2023 is being held under the theme “Healthy and capable youth for sustainable development” with sub thematic areas of Youth Health, Economic Empowerment, Climate Change and Youth in Peace and Resilience Building.
O-YES Global Foundation is hosting the 2nd Edition of the Africa-Asia Youth Forum (AAYF 2023) which aims to gather together 500 outstanding young Health Professional, Environmental Defenders, Investors, Entrepreneurs, Students, Leaders, and Peace Advocates and eminent personalities from youth organizations, financial institution, educational institutions, governmental, non-governmental and inter-governmental organizations in Africa and Asia.
The representatives from other continents are also invited to partake at this forum.
It is stated that Ergogie Tesfaye, Minister of Women and Social Affair, State Minister of Peace, Taye Denda, African and Asian Diplomats including High official are attending the forum.
Minister of Women and Social Affair, Ergogie Tesfaye, on her remarks said that African Youth have a participatory and key role in the Economic, Political and Social endeavors of their respective countries.
She added that the AAYF 2023 forum is crucial to the Youth in Africa in its inclusiveness where the Youth can participate in areas of leadership, Job creations, economy and peace building.
Indonesia’s Ambassador to Ethiopia, Al Busyra Basnur said on his part that the Youth in Africa is a power-Shift to the Economic and Political activities of Countries in Africa.
He has expressed his belief as saying that connecting Africa and Asia through the participation of the Youth force will move the comprehensive relationship between the two continents to a higher level.
AAYF is a sustainable inter-continental Youth empowerment and development platform that aims to connect and engage Africa and Asia Young game changers and innovators through keynote speaking, presentations, workshops and facilitated discussions to explore, ideate, collaborate, and generate new approaches that respond to their ever-changing needs, challenges, and aspirations and play their indispensable roles in contributing towards SDGs achievement through utilizing their energy, creative ideas, technologies and inter-connectedness that catalyze a comprehensive transformation for better Africa-Asia partnership.
