AAU, UNISA sign MoU on science and research areas
Addis Ababa, August 30, 2022 (FBC) – Addis Ababa University (AAU) and the University of South Africa (UNISA) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to enable them to work together in education, science, research, community service, human resource development, institutional capacity building, experience exchange and other areas.
The MoU was signed by Professor Tasew Wolde-Hana, President of Addis Ababa University and Professor Puleng LenkaBula, Vice Chancellor of the University of South Africa.
Prof. Tasew stressed that the agreement signed by the two universities to cooperate in various fields will help improve the lives of Africans, and Addis Ababa University has experiences to share with the University of South Africa in the field of education and research.
He added that the two universities will be able to achieve a continental development that can change the lives of Africans by conducting research based in cooperation.
Vice-Chancellor of the University of South Africa, Professor Puleng LenkaBula, stated that she is proud that her university had agreed to work in cooperation with Addis Ababa University.
Prof. Puleng added that the agreement will help both universities to do continuous works in the fields of technology, research and education and training, and she recalled that the University of South Africa is working on a road map to expand access to human resource development, science and diplomacy education in East African countries including Ethiopia.
