A team of women in business, leadership roles in Amhara Region contributes over 2.7mln ETB to Regional Special Force

Addis Ababa, September 3, 2021 (FBC) – A team of women entrepreneurs, investors, traders and political and public service leaders in Amhara Regional State have contributed more than 2.7 Million Birr to the region’s special force.

They handed over the donation to leadership of the Regional Special Force under the Motto “Let’s preserve legacy of Empress Taitu” 

Coordinator of the team, Tiliksew Gedamu stressed the need to safeguard peace and security from terrorists like the TPLF renegade group and others to sustain development appreciating the role of the Special Force in doing so.

One of the members of the team and the Amhara Region Revenue Bureau Head, Bizuayehu Biazen announced further preparations to renovate houses damaged by the terrorist TPLF attack, reinstate impacted families and financial support to affected civilians in several parts of the region.

On the occasion, Deputy Speaker of the House of Peoples Representatives, Shitaye Minale, to her part, appreciated the team for the support calling the general public to extend similar supports to law enforcement operation and rehabilitation of the displaced and affected civilians.
