A movie titled “For the Love of Motherland” premiered
Addis Ababa, March 23, 2024 (FBC) – A movie which portrays the patriotism and valor of the Ethiopian National Defense Forces (ENDF) in protecting the nation’s sovereignty was premiered in the presence of Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed today.
Titled “For the Love of Motherland,” the movie was screened at the Adwa Memorial Museum.
Prime Minister and Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces, Abiy Ahmed, ENDF Chief of Staff Field Marshal Birhanu Jula, Deputy Prime Minister Temesgen Tiruneh, Defense Minister Abraham Belay, regional chief administrators, ambassadors, and military attachés from various countries graced the screening with their presence.
During the event, Chief of Staff Field Marshal Birhanu emphasized that the Ethiopian National Defense Force (ENDF) meticulously documented the law enforcement operation in the northern region of the country by engaging professionals.
In this context, he highlighted the publication of a book and underscored that the film portrays a genuine narrative of patriotism.
The movie “For the Love of Motherland” was reportedly premiered at the prestigious Pan African Film & Arts Festival (PAFF) in Los Angeles, where it garnered a certificate of recognition alongside two other films.
As per the field marshal, Ethiopia succeeded in conveying its authentic narrative through the film at the Pan African Film & Arts Festival (PAFF).
Directed by Tewodros Teshome, the film boasted an estimated 30,000 film extras and state-of-the-art special effects.
