A delegation led by EU Crisis Management Commissioner arrives in Somali Region for working visit

Addis Ababa, June 20, 2022 (FBC) – A delegation led by the EU Crisis Management Commissioner Lanez Lenarčič has arrived in Gode, Somali Region for a working visit.

The EU delegation has been accorded a warm welcome by a team of regional officials led by the Office of the President of Somali Region, Hussein Hashi Qasim (PhD).

It is stated that the delegation with assess the drought condition in the Somali Region and evaluate responses underway to tackle the situation.

According to the Communication Office of Somali Region, members of the delegation will discuss with regional officials on ways of enhancing EU’s support to infrasturucture development activities in Somali Region.
