Chief Administrators of Amhara, Benishangul Gumuz states visit GERD

Addis Ababa, August 23, 2020 (FBC) –Chief Administrators of Amhara and Benishangul Gumuze regional states today visited the Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam (GERD) project.

Chief Administrator of Amhara regional state, Temesgen Tiruneh, and Chief Administrator of Benishangul Gumuze regional, along with Belayneh Kindie, owner and CEO of Belayneh Kindie Business Group, visited the progress of the project.

On the occasion, Belayneh Kindie, who has so far purchased GERD bond worth 33 million birr for the dam, also contributed 40 oxen to encourage workers at the project site.

Ethiopia completed the first stage of filling the dam late July.
