Commission launches second phase of national stadium

Addis Ababa, July 30, 2020 (FBC) –Sport Commission yesterday launched the second phase construction of Ethiopia’s national stadium (Adey Abeba stadium).

Sport Commissioner, Elias Shikur and a number of other guests, attended the launching event of the project which is expected to take 900 days for completion.

The second phase, which includes installing roof and other finishing works, will be carried out with more than 5.57 billion birr by China State Engineering Corporation (CSCEC).

The first phase of the FIFA-standard, 62,000-seat stadium, was built with 2.47 billion birr.
