Ethiopia launches first-ever tourist taxi service
Addis Ababa, July 17, 2020 (FBC) – Minister of Culture and Tourism, Dr. Hirut Kassaw has today lauched nation’s first-ever tourist taxi service in Addis Ababa today.
On the occasion, Dr. Hirut Kassaw said the government has permitted tax free car motor imports in a bid to tackle air pollution and foster job creation in car assembly sector.
The Minister urged founder of newly introduced tourist Taxi service “Hello Taxi”, Aklog General Trading to promote the tourism and hospitality sector of Ethiopia while transporting visitors to attraction sites.
The new Tourist Taxi Service is said to play its own share to transform the tourism and hospitality sector to a better position.
Representative of Aklog General Trading, Shemsedin Abdurohman has handed over a number of Hello Taxis, Ten Tourist Ambulances, 50 digital translation devices that help convert words of visitors to 59 languages to 110 job seeking youths with full loan via Culture and Tourism Minister, Dr. Hirut Kassaw.
