Pres. Taye emphasizes the importance of synergy in achieving lasting peace in Ethiopia

Addis Ababa, December 8, 2024 (FMC) – The FDRE President Taye Atske-Selassie emphasized the importance of national unity in achieving peace and development in Ethiopia.

The President’s words were asserted in congratulatory message posted on his social media page regarding the 19th Nations & Nationalities Day, which was observed today in Arba Minch city of the South Ethiopia region under the theme “National Consensus for Multinational Unity.”

President Taye highlighted that a generation that is committed to its national unity and determined to realize development will also maintain lasting peace.

He emphasized that there is no one who understands better than Ethiopians that disputes only benefit those who are not involved, while development and peace are beneficial for everyone.

In his message, President Taye called for building of a strong, prosperous, proud, and respected Ethiopia by further strengthening national unity on the principles of equality and justice. He urged Ethiopians to stand together against any foreign force that threatens their peace and freedom.
