Over 1,100 Ethiopians repatriated from Saudi Arabia
Addis Ababa, December 6, 2024 (FMC) – The Ministry of Women and Social Affairs has reported a continued effort in repatriating Ethiopians facing hardships in Saudi Arabia.
Between November 13 and December 6, 2024, a total of 1,155 citizens returned home, comprising 446 men, 631 women, and 78 infants, with 218 individuals under the age of 18.
The ministry has assured that these returnees are receiving necessary care and support, helping facilitate their reunion with family members.
This ongoing repatriation initiative, which commenced on April 12, 2024, has successfully brought back more than 87,000 Ethiopians to date.
