Ethiopian Air Force showcases modern aviation and military equipment
Addis Ababa, November 2024 (FBC) – During the closing events of the Ethiopian Air Force’s 89th anniversary, the national air force has showcased its modern aviation and military technologies this morning at its base in Bishoftu town.
The national air force’s anniversary is being observed this week under the theme “Sovereign Nation, Invincible Air Force”.
The closing event of the Air Force’s 89th anniversary was attended by Chief of Staff of the Ethiopian National Defense Forces, Field Marshal Berhanu Jula, along with African air force commanders, Addis Ababa-based military attachés of various countries, senior government officials, general officers, and invited guests.
Various projects built by the Air Force were inaugurated, including the pilot’s quarters, the army’s dining hall, and an asphalt road.
Various modern military technologies developed by the Ethiopian Air Force, the Defense Engineering Industry Corporation, and the Ethiopian Defense University, as well as upgraded and overhauled, were showcased at an exhibition which was opened by Field Marshal General Berhanu Jula.
Drones and other military equipment were also on display at the fair, including the Air Force-made “Tsehay 2.0” aircraft, which Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed (PhD) announced on his social media page yesterday.
