PM Abiy discloses start of wheat harvest, calls for preparations for summer cultivation

Addis Ababa, November 18, 2024 (FBC) – Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed has announced the commencement of the wheat crop harvesting period throughout Ethiopia and called for concerted efforts in undertaking the harvesting process.

“This season’s wheat harvesting period has begun, and we must expedite this process nationwide through collaboration, as we have a bountiful harvest this year,” PM Abiy said in a social media post published this morning accompanied with photos of the wheat harvesting process.

The Prime Minister further called for preparations for the irrigated wheat cultivation season ahead. “Additionally, we should prepare for the upcoming summer wheat cultivation.”
