Company Hands Over Schools Built with Over 19 Million Birr to Local Communities
Addis Ababa, November 13, 2024 (FBC) – BGI Ethiopia has officially handed over the “Abba Gada Primary School” in Batu town, Oromia Region, and the “Chefe Konboye Primary School” in Hawassa City, Sidama Region, as part of its commitment to support government’s efforts to enhancing education development.
CEO of BGI Ethiopia, Herve Milhade revealed that the total investment for the construction of Abba Gada school and expansion works at Chefe Konboye exceeded 19 million birr. Abba Gada Primary School is designed to accommodate over 600 students, while Chefe Konboye Primary School has a capacity for 525 students at a time.
In addition to educational initiatives, BGI Ethiopia is actively engaged in social responsibility projects relating to environmental development and health, with a budget of 70 million birr allocated for the current Ethiopian year, according to the CEO.
