Ethiopia is Czech Republic’s key trade partner – PM Petr Fiala
Addis Ababa, November 13, 2024 (FBC) – Ethiopia is one of Czech Republic’s key partners in trade, Prime Minister Petr Fiala said after his meeting with the Ethiopian President Taye Atske-Selassie on the sidelines of COP29 in Baku, Azerbaijan.
The Czechia Prime Minister shared a post on social media platform X (formerly Twitter), indicating that he had a candid discussion with President Taye on Tuesday 12th November.
“Ethiopia is one of our key trade partners, and there are many ongoing joint projects,” PM Fiala noted.
During their discussion, both sides reminisced about Fiala’s visit to Addis Ababa a year ago.
They also discussed the collaboration with the Dvůr Králové Safari Park in saving black rhinos.
Note that President Taye Atske-Selassie is in Baku to attend the 29th edition of Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP 29).
On Tuesday, President Taye co-host a panel with Denmark and UAE on transforming agriculture and food systems for a 1.5°C future, on the sidelines of COP29 in Baku. On the occasion, he called for increased climate finance and meaningful support to our institutions to achieve Paris Agreement and the Pact for the Future.
